Bead Soup Blog Party Updates

I just realised that I didn't post a pic of the bead soup I sent my partner. Donna received it some weeks ago so I'm free to show it now.

This was the teaser pic I posted a while ago:

And this is what the bead soup really looks like:

Donna mentioned that before she turned to polymer clay she made beaded jewellery using mostly round and bicone beads. So I made it my mission to send her beads of various shapes. I also went with a spring/garden theme to match the Susan Farley glass focal and silver butterfly clasp. I can't wait to see what Donna makes!

In other BSBP news, I've completed 3.5 pieces already which is a record for me. I'm usually a last minute beader. However, I'm a little stuck as to what to do with the  crocheted flower Donna sent me. It's beautiful and I'd like to do it justice but I've never worked with crocheted anything before. Here's hoping I get some inspiration soon!

New Jewellery

I actually got around to making something.

I call this my Happy Earrings. The cheery colourful beads are from CatLampwork - I lover her beads! I've listed the earrings in my Etsy store. Hopefully, it'll find a good home soon. If it doesn't, I'll gift it to a dear friend who has really helped me these last few months.
