On another note, how are you getting on with your bead soup? Those of you participating, that is. I just finished 2 pieces and am trying to get at least one more item done before the Reveal Day. I'm not entirely pleased with the completed pieces but I don't think I'll have time to re-work them. One of them has decidedly wonky wirework, but I'm hoping some creative photography will hide that fact LOL. And since I'm a big tease, I'm just going to say that the bad wirework involved the ceramic bead below.
Remember it? I'll leave you to imagine the horrific wirework (and other torture) - if you can even call it that - I subjected that innocent bead to. Check back on Mar 3 to see if your imaginings were right.
Can't wait to see your designs, and I am sure you are just being hard on yourself.

I stopped by your ETSY shop, you have some lovely designs in there! I haven't got the hang of wire working yet, it's difficult for me but one day I'll master it! I love that green bead! And can't wait to see what you've done with it! See you on reveal day!
ReplyDeleteI find "mistakes" end up being serendipitous opportunities to learn new things and sometimes I even find unexpected surprises. If I find I'm not entirely enthralled, I'll set it aside where I don't see it for a while. Let new skills or new tastes develop. Then I stumble across the partly finished piece and suddenly like it again. I can't wait to see what you made with your beads and what your bead soup partner makes. It's funny you commented on the similar color palette you sent each other. My partner sent me a green soup and I sent her a green-yellow soup. How cool is that? Looking forward to march 3 and seeing your gorgeous pieces. :-)
